A FedEx cargo plane traveling from Newark to Indianapolis hit a bird during takeoff Saturday morning, officials said. That strike damaged one of the Boeing 767’s engines, causing the engine to catch fire, the Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement. There were no injuries and the plane landed back at Newark Liberty International safely. It’s just the latest in a series of high-profile aviation incidents that have made air travelers concerned.
