The Right uses cancel cultural tactics to devastating effect

By Kekarot

After gleefully taking to social media in the wake of an assassination attempt on presidential candidate Donald Trump, many radical leftists have found themselves fired by their employers. Those fired include political staffers, celebrities, teachers, professors, medical professionals, business owners, and first responders. Many expressed disappointment that the would be assassin failed; others were fired for mocking the dead and injured.

This harsh retaliation from the Right comes after nearly a decade of being the sole targets of the Left-wing’s cancel culture machine, marking a new chapter in the United States culture war. Hopefully, it’s a chapter where the Right is willing to step off the high road and get their hands dirty.

Sadly, but not unsurprisingly, this cancel campaign is not being led by the cowardly and whipped GOP, but by Libs of TikTok: an online personality who regularly shines a light on radical leftism. I myself am not a huge LoTT fan, but I can certainly appreciate what they’ve done in the days following 7/13.

While I consider this a win, I know how the Right tends to operate, and I’m left with several nagging questions: Will the Right be able to keep up their newfound momentum in the culture war? Will they go back to rolling over like beaten dogs and fretting about optics? Only time will tell, but I’m choosing to remain optimistic.
