Yesterday, President Biden announced that he was withdrawing from the presidential race. Shortly thereafter, he endorsed his vice president, Kamala Harris, as the new presidential nominee. The mainstream media have been covering this story all day, as could be expected. There seems to be a unified response by the Democratic political machine to unify behind Harris, and at the time of this writing she has already secured 20% of the delegates needed to secure the nomination. In addition, Democratic fundraising group ActBlue raised $46.7 million in donations in one day for Harris’s political run.
Yet things aren’t as they seem. At the time of this writing, 10 hours have passed since President Biden announced the end of his candidacy. Yet he announced it on his personal X account, rather than his official POTUS account. As of now, the POTUS account has yet to make any official announcement. In addition, no updates have been made to the official whitehouse.gov website.
One would think that such a momentous announcement would be made at a press conference, or a televised address, rather than solely through his personal X account. X user HarmlessYardDog aka Battle Beagle, has suggested that the intern who has access to his personal account does not have access to the POTUS account or the whitehouse.gov website. This may suggest a lack of agreement in the administration about whether or not Biden should resign.
In addition, the timing of the announcement that Biden has COVID is suspicious, though this may be a coincidence. There is the possibility, however, of using the COVID excuse to remove Biden from the public eye and keep him isolated. This correspondent finds it noteworthy that no pictures or videos of Biden have emerged since the announcement of his withdrawal.
All of this suggests at least the possibility of an internal coup. One would think the mainstream media would show curiosity about these discrepancies, but I suppose that’s too much to hope for from journalists. I suppose we here at Anime Headline News will have to keep asking the real questions.
